libexpat1 software package provides XML parsing C library - runtime library, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libexpat1
libexpat1 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libexpat1 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libexpat1 *
You will get with libexpat1 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
